Homegrown Hey You're Sweet, Tomato MDS Card

Here's a card made with MDS, cardstock and my home printer. It uses the brush sets Homegrown and Chateau Bella from MDS.  You get a lot more creative freedom in MDS, including the opportunity to create your own sentiments. (Digital) Stamps and supplies by Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! My Way

At last, I completed my version of the Stampin' Up! My Way logo. Stampin' Up! My Way: I let the stamps be the stamps and the papers be the papers. Nothing too frilly, layered or involved. I also live for the art contests. The themes and deadlines keep me practicing. It's how I live the SU "Good Life." lol

MDS Thoughts and Prayers, Greatest Moments Eye Chart

There is another contest theme for July called "home sweet home" in which we can enter projects we would display in our home. I thought it would be cool to have an eye chart with the letters spelling out all the names of my pets. I'm hoping I have time to print and frame this to get it off to the home office in time! I REALLY want to win stamp sets, can you tell? This would be an easy project to teach in an MDS workshop.

MDS Epic Overlays Brush Set, Attic Boutique Card

Think of MDS as instant gratification. I wanted to enter in the September card contest for the "abc" theme to win some new stamp sets. I did not have any alphabet sets but with the magic of MDS, I had one in a few seconds! The best part is that I could size down the letters to fit the little tag punch! No, I did not thread the twine...waaayyyy too time consuming. I just faux threaded with the white gel pen (and then traced some of the letter edges with it, too)  I hope I win. I'm doing Stampin' Up My Way for the contest prizes, for sure...hee, hee.

Design your own scrapbook page in My Digital Studio

So easy and the results are so gratifying! I'm not much of a paper scrapbooker, but this works for me! This is going to be a swatchbook of all my dining outings with my mom, aunt and cousins. Our first initials spell "SPPASMS," which is sort of funny and accurate.  Everyone brings small presents to share before we eat and we always take a picture before we leave the restaurant. For October, we all got some scary gloves to wear.

Use a designer template to create a scrapbook page in My Digital Studio

Well, I am not a big scrapbooker, so I took a card template and made that my scrapbook page. This is a photo I took of my new betta, Fiesty! He lives in my cubicle and is no more that a foot away from me at my desk. He is so soothing to look at and he can even do a few tricks. I shot this photo with a Nikon D40 SLR camera.not bad, eh? Rock-a-bye, Fiesty, in your fish bowl...

Know how to do the following in My Digital Studio

In getting certified, you need to know how to use the major tools in MDS. You also need to know how to modify objects you have placed on your page. Here is my creation which touches on all the learning points.

On my way to certification in My Digital Studio
