Flying By Card

Yesterday I saw this awesome card at Artfelt Impressions and I had to copy it almost exactly. It was perfect for Lawn Fawn's Flying By set. Deb is, like, the ultimate teacher if you want to learn how to make CAS layouts. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Supplies: Stampin' Up!

Patchy patterns Lawnscaping Challenge #40

Had some fun making my own patterned papers for the Lawnscaping Challenge #40 . I'm so-so about printed patterns. I'd rather do this because it is more organic and kind of a meditative activity. Spent the past weekend visiting friends in NYC and made a stop at The Ink Pad in Manhattan to clean them out of Lawn Fawn stamps that I did not have yet. :-) Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

For fearful little ones on the first day of school. I know the feeling.

My latest attempt at CASology #6 and also for the premier Ten-Minute Craft Dash #1. Speaking as a person who had a fair share of anxiety in my elementary school years, this CASology theme spoke to me in a different way than might be expected. Although I do not have children, I remember what is was like to be a little one struggling with academic and social excellence. I hope this gives people ideas to run with. This clocked in at under eight minutes for the craft dash. I wanted to find an ideal clip art shield for bravery to trace but finally made my own in Illustrator for you to share with my compliments. You may download it for FREE here . I printed and cut it out on heavy cardstock and traced around it with a marker.

Critters in the Sea, Critters Ever After Card

I'm doing double duty on challenges this week. This is for the 5th CASology Challenge and Lawnscaping Challenge #39 . I sincerely hope that more people will come on board with CASology's challenge. I like the thoughtfulness that is put into it by their design team. Of course, I'll be forever hooked on the Lawnscaping Challenge as long as there are Lawn Fawn stamps to play with. Happy Hats Off to You Card

Had some fun last night with my new Lawn Fawn Hats Off to You set. I added the smiles from the Love and Breakfast set to them and drew on the feet and the hands. I'm trying to save up for "Making Frosty Friends" so that I can recreate this card using the snowman arms, but I wanted to give this to a co-worker who is moving on to greener pastures this week Interestingly enough, Lawn Fawn has announced a new contest today and I want to enter this idea in it, but I will be traveling right up until the day before their contest deadline! I wanted to make a longer card to fit the dimension guidelines. We'll see what I can do in the next day ahead. I really want the prizes they are offering! Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Critters in the Sea Card

Tried practicing with Crystal Effects yesterday to add a little dimensional fun here. For me, it's always a 50/50 chance that the colors underneath it will bleed, but in this case, I think the bleed is okay on a turtle shell. Inside I used "happy" and "birthday" from the Hats Off to You set. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Love and Breakfast, Critters on the Farm Card

This would be a good card for a consistent over-acheiver, or maybe a little one who is just about to begin the fifth grade. :-) Practiced last night with Blender Pens, paper piercing, and a tab label punch. This is patterned paper from SU called "Rebecca." It's retired so I try to use it sparingly. I want to make it last forever! This is also my entry for CASology #4 , a new challenge blog that is right up my alley. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!
