Pubbadools, Miles and Fiesty

These were photos I took to use for scrapbook pages in my Artisan Award 2012 entries (Of course, I lost, but what fun trying!). I'm not a big scrapbooker and, frankly, I think my pets' good looks weren't helped any by my clunky layouts. :-) So here they are solo. You simply can't improve on perfection!

Apothecary Art So Grateful Card

Here is a set of cards inspired by a Simplicity post from yesterday. I loved it so much I went home and tried it myself last night. It would be a great make-and-take to teach people how to use a paper piercing tool and pierce guide sheet. It would also make a good Starter Kit card. I'd earned some free Brights Brads so this card worked out very well for me for using them. Stamps and supplies: Stampin' Up!

On the Mend, My Silly Valentine Cards

I am having lunch with my cousins this Saturday and we like to give little presents when we meet. These use Lawn Fawn's On the Mend set for the notecard (inside has "sending hugs" stamp) and the little envelope has the hearts from My Silly Valentine. They will each get a card and an envelope. A new and improved repost!

My Swingley downloadable digital stamp has created quite a stir (!) and now I am pleased to announce that 100% of its sales will go directly to The Critter Connection, a guinea pig rescue in Connecticut. So when you make the purchase, you will be directed to their Paypal account to complete the transaction prior to receiving the download. I hope that will make you feel extra good inside. Let's help them out!

Critters in the Sea Card

I can never have too many birthday cards. Since I work in RI, I have a lot of co-workers with nautical hobbies. So this set works perfectly for me. Incidentally, the brads are silver, not gold. But gold would work too, I suppose. At the present time, SU does not offer Copic markers, so I must make-do with Stampin' Write (Marvy Uchida) markers and Blender Pens to mimic the Copic techniques I see. I hope Copics come onto the SU member scene soon! I love to see what people are doing with Copics! Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Sunny Skies, Flying By Card

Here are some daring young birds on the flying trapeze for my Lawnscaping Challenge #38 entry. There is so much going on in this inspiration photo, so I concentrated on the colors and the uplifting feel of all of them, if you know what I mean. I drew the ropes of the trapezes (trapezees?, trapezi?) and the little tossing motion after sketching them the way I wanted in pencil first. It's not hard to do. Thankfully birds have a built in safety net so drawing one of those was not necessary. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Gnome Sweet Gnome birthday card

I opened my newest Lawn Fawn stamp pack last night and tested it out. The card layout was inspired by SU demonstrator Linda A . I love how her card designs are center-oriented and how she uses decorative paper. This was some paper I'd earned with a rather loud pattern to it. She solves the problem by letting the paper pattern take center stage and I really like that. I'll be CASEing her design ideas often for sure!

Homegrown Hey You're Sweet, Tomato MDS Card

Here's a card made with MDS, cardstock and my home printer. It uses the brush sets Homegrown and Chateau Bella from MDS.  You get a lot more creative freedom in MDS, including the opportunity to create your own sentiments. (Digital) Stamps and supplies by Stampin' Up!

Packed for Everything, God's Blessings Card

Remember way back when SU gave us the Packed for Everything freebie for asking a friend to host a workshop? Well, I know a lot of people rolled their eyes at this choice, but I thought it had a lot of potential for some funny stuff. Here's what I decided to do with my sets! Hope it gets you thinking of what you can do with yours! Stamps and supplies: Stampin' Up!

Critters in the Forest, Belinda's Borders, Hats Off to You card

Playing with my latest order of Lawn Fawn stamps. So very, very cute. I had a little trouble lining up Belinda' Borders. I think I am going to have to order some grid decals for my clear blocks. This card also uses Stampin' Up's 2012-2014 InColor palatte, which is an ink set that uses foam pads, not felt! Progress! Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Supplies: Stampin' Up!

Critters in the Forest Card

I've been trying to make cards from all the scrappy bits of paper I have filling up my bins. This gave me a chance to try the paper piecing ideas that I have been seeing everyone doing lately. Can never have too many thank you notecards, too! Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Supplies: Stampin' Up!

Critters in the Snow bookmark

I finally got a Simply Scored tool with a diagonal scoring plate so I practiced with it this weekend. This is a little page corner bookmark project that I made for my Sweetie. I loved how the Lawn Fawn sentiment stamps are flexible and clingy enough to make a curve when placed on a clear block. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Supplies: Stampin' Up!
