Here are some daring young birds on the flying trapeze for my Lawnscaping Challenge #38 entry. There is so much going on in this inspiration photo, so I concentrated on the colors and the uplifting feel of all of them, if you know what I mean. I drew the ropes of the trapezes (trapezees?, trapezi?) and the little tossing motion after sketching them the way I wanted in pencil first. It's not hard to do. Thankfully birds have a built in safety net so drawing one of those was not necessary.

ReplyDeleteYour card is very clever, what did you use for the TRAPEEZZE?
Thank you! For the bar of the trapezes, I just cut straight strips of brown paper and placed them. Then I outlined them with a thin marker. Then I drew the curves in pencil and then traced over them again with the thin marker. If you draw in pencil first it's very easy.
