Critters Down Under birthday card

Here is a simple little birthday card that I made last night. I cased the colors and layout from SU demonstrator Julie D . I think I will be casing a lot of her stuff in the future. I intend to send a lot of cards for Operation Write Home in the months ahead and her card layouts look like they are going to work well for that. Stamps and decorative papers: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Lawnscaping Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to my stop on the Lawnscaping Fall Blog Hop . You should have come to me by way of Christiana . We've had some great sleeping weather here in central Massachusetts. What about you? I was inspired by that, the covered bridge (a big thing here in New England) showing the row of support beams, and the vibrant yellow-orange colors. I made the hammocks out of the bottoms of the snowmen in the Making Frosty Friends set. Let me know if you need me to explain how. Also, the snowman arms are the rakes. Now, head on over to Danielle . If you've gotten off-track, don't worry! Head back to the Lawnscaping blog  to see the complete list of designers and prize information! This hop runs from Friday, October 5th, all the way until Sunday, October 7th. Make sure to comment on all of the blogs to be eligible for some FANTASTIC prizes! All of the details can be found on the Lawnscaping home page.

Critters Down Under Card

Well of course I am going to participate in this week's CASology theme. I LOVE animals! I've had three sets of friends have babies within the year and I've been needing some baby cards. This is for the latest new parents, who just had a boy. They decorated with a monkey theme, but I have no monkeys. I thought a koala was close enough. Stamps and decorative paper: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Lawnscaping Challenge #36 Splash of Color Card

I think I really like card challenges. They give you practice working on a deadline, for starters. This week's Lawnscaping Challenge #36 theme asks for a splash of color when you stamp with your Lawn Fawn stamps. I hope you like my idea for it. I used the Cozy Christmas set for the fried eggs and the smile on the hard cooked egg. The smile sentiment is from Critters Down Under. I wish I had the set Love n' Breakfast to go with this, but I think this works pretty well without it. I am just over the moon for these stamps. They make me so happy. Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Supplies: Stampin' Up P.S. The big egg is stamped with the shape from  "A Good Egg, " a retired Stampin' Up stamp set. But you can easily Google a free clip art egg shape to print and cut out.
