Finally beat the clock for Lawnscaping Challenge #41 . It's a bit of a stretch but all the nautical themed DT entries along with the sketchy scallops got me thinking about the last flings of summer. I used Lawn Fawn's newest set, A Birdie Told Me, along with some of their decorative papers from the Bright Side and the Fa-La-La collections. I just cut out wavy shapes from the paper and a skinny oval for the surfboard. Stamps and decorative papers: Lawn Fawn; supplies: Stampin' Up!

Here are some daring young birds on the flying trapeze for my Lawnscaping Challenge #38 entry. There is so much going on in this inspiration photo, so I concentrated on the colors and the uplifting feel of all of them, if you know what I mean. I drew the ropes of the trapezes (trapezees?, trapezi?) and the little tossing motion after sketching them the way I wanted in pencil first. It's not hard to do.   Remembering my dad this Father's Day. I might wrap this up tightly in plastic and place it on his memorial this Sunday. I'm entering this in my first Mojo Monday Challenge , #245, today! Yes, I tweaked the layout quite a bit to suit my tastes but it was definitely my starting point. This uses Lawn Fawn sets Critters in the Burbs, Critters on the Farm and Sunny Skies.
