Locar was difficult for me to master. I figured out the trick of it by making a series of lowercase cursive "r's" (get it?). Then I mirrored them in an opposite line before enclosing them in the downward branches. This would be a great tangle to demonstrate on video, for sure!
Glad you got your Zentangle certification! Meanwhile, I, too, got frustrated with Day 15 of One Zentangle a Day. Locar threw me for a loop. When I looked for it online, one YouTube video showed up, and it was the easiest of the lot. As far as I could tell, there were no "true exemplars" for Locar anywhere--especially since the Zentangle.com site no longer shows pictures of the original patterns.
