  1. My mom and I are reconnecting in a wonderful way. I honor my Mother and so thankful for these times we are having. She is now in her 80's, so everyday is precious.

  2. ahh, I miss my mother every day. but she always is in my heart. I see her in my daughters smile and when I bake and am delighted to report we both inherited her giggle and positive outlook on life. she taught me, as I taught my children, that there is always someone who needs your help, there is no need to wait for them to ask...just help them. no matter how little you have, you can always give something. even if it just a kind word. you can always show kindness. She would have loved to see this zentangle path that I am on and encourage me to do my best. With a smile on my face. Happy mothers day to all the mothers out there, cherish your mother...she has given you the greatest gift of all....love.

  3. I wrote a long post and it disappeared! I agree with Nancy.... what my mom gave me was a love of making things, cooking, gardening and bird watching. Mother's Day is a celebration of all women and the women they cherish.

  4. Miss my mother too! She has been gone for almost 4 years now! Miss our days going to Target and getting a Coke. We had some awesome times together.

  5. My mother was a wonderful artist. She gave me the tools and the instruction to develop into the artist I am today. But most of all she passed along her genetic art/science ability that seems to "run in the family"!

  6. My mom showed me how to be a good mother by example. She taught me many things, of course, but knitting is one of my passions...and still one of hers at 86!

  7. Mom was so playful with me. We used to roller skate in our
unfinished basement together! We played jacks and our dog would steal the ball! Laughing and loving she spent time with me. The greatest gift of all.

  8. Thank you for this giveaway opportunity - I love my Mum because she has kept in contact with me over the miles since I moved to America from Australia with my American husband over 30 years ago - it is hard to be involved in each others lives, but Mum has made the effort and we have a close and loving relationship - I hope to go to see her in June to help celebrate her 90th birthday.

  9. I'm just getting into tangling and have found it is so much fun, I don't want to stop. I think my Mom would have loved this art form. She was very crafty and also was an artist, though she never had anything published or shown. It makes me a little sad to discover this after she has gone Home; I think we could have made a lot of beautiful pics and craft items together with Zentangles. I have made a couple larger pictures with these doodles - my next project is either doodling around a pic of her or her name written in fancy lettering down the center of a page. To Mama, Zentangle on!

  10. I wish my mom and I could of have experienced zentangle together. She would have loved it's calm. Lots of pieces are inspired by her love of beauty.

  11. My mom has always been a great strong woman and example for me. She gave me the "creativity gene" and still quilts to this day. She has survived breast cancer and my dad's passing and has enough in her to inspire me every day.

  12. My 92 year old mother always felt inferior to others, but she made me feel like I could do anything. I honour her with my creativity.

  13. I love my mom for how she guides me, even as an adult. How her vision of life has inspired me to great things. How much she loves and dotes on my son.

  14. I lost my mom 8 years ago. Her birthday is also in May. A couple of her friends call me on Mothers Day, and though I usually end up crying, I still love them for acknowledging me and her.

  15. No matter how many years pass, I still miss my mother. No one's eyes will ever light up like hers did when I entered the room. No one's embrace will ever be as strong as hers was when it was time to part. I will always love her. ~Stephanie
